7 Months

Okay, so I realized I haven't done a 7 month post yet, I've been such a bad blogger.

Here are the 7 Month Milestones:

Movement Milestones

  • Rolls both ways (front to back, back to front)- He's pretty much got this down now. A little slower on the front to back, but he's rolling all over the place.
  • Sits with, and then without, support of her hands- Yep, he's been doing this for awhile now.
  • Supports her whole weight on her legs- Yep.
  • Reaches with one hand- Mostly uses both hands, but I've seen him use just one.
  • Transfers object from hand to hand- Yep
  • Uses raking grasp (not pincer)- Yes

Visual Milestones

  • Develops full color vision- Who knows
  • Distance vision matures- Hard to tell about these.
  • Ability to track moving objects improves- He's good at tracking.

Language Milestones

  • Responds to own name- Sometimes. We have so many nicknames, I don't think he knows which is which.
  • Begins to respond to “no”- Haven't seen it, but we don't ever tell him no, we just take things away.
  • Distinguishes emotions by tone of voice- Yes. This is funny to watch when Landon is talking to him. Sometimes he'll laugh at a word, but if Landon says it in a different tone he'll cry.
  • Responds to sound by making sounds- Yes.
  • Uses voice to express joy and displeasure- Displeasure yes, haven't noticed joy, except laughing.
  • Babbles chains of consonants- Not really. He does like to talk with the pacifier in his mouth.

Cognitive Milestones

  • Finds partially hidden object- Yes
  • Explores with hands and mouth- Always
  • Struggles to get objects that are out of reach- Definitely. He really gets mad if he can't reach something he's trying to crawl to.He  keeps crawling backwards.

Social and Emotional Milestones

  • Enjoys social play- Yep
  • Interested in mirror images- Definitely!
  • Responds to other people’s expressions of emotion and appears joyful often- He's very smiley at strangers and people he knows.

Daily Baby Essentials -6+ Months Update

Back when Remington was 2 months old, I posted about items we use on a daily basis for a baby. Now, that I've had more time with a baby 24/7, here is an updated list.

1. Bottles- Remington's primary food is still formula. Everything I've read says that it should be until about a year old. He does eat baby food and/or rice cereal at least once a day.

2. Pacifier- We still use them quite a bit. Remington likes to pull it out of his month and play, but he still likes to fall asleep with one. We also continue to use the Wubbanubs, especially in the car. They're easier to find when he throws it.

3. Highchair- A must when you start feeding baby food.

4. Bib- We need more, but good when feeding.

5. Cloth diapers/burp rags- Great for cleaning up baby drool (which gets worse with teething).

6. Links- Remington loves swinging, grabbing, and chewing on these things.

7. Diaper trash can with lid- We never did get a Diaper genie (why waste the money on a glorified trash can?), but yuck... a lid to close off the smell is a must.

8. Sleep and Play pajamas- Now that it's getting hotter, we're finding thin pajamas for Remington to wear to sleep. I think we're going to start just using onsies though. In my opinion, it's better if he's too cold than too hot (SIDs and all..).

9. Excersauser- Remington loves it. It's also a good place to put him when you have to run to the door or bathroom or whatever. It keeps him contained. This will really be useful as he's starting to try to crawl.

10. Books- I have so many, but I want to make sure Remington is read to constantly and grows up to love books. His favorite book is "That's Not My Dragon...". The whole "That's Not My..." series is amazing. Remington has two more and he loves them too. The pages seem a bit thicker than other board books so he can grab them easier. He also likes the touch and feel feature of those books.

11. Diapers, Wipes, Formula, Clothes, Crib, Carseat- These basics are still in use. Right now, Remington is wearing size 3 diapers. He mostly wears 6-9 month clothes, but can still fit in some 3-6 month stuff.

12. Num Starter Sippy Cup- This is a great first sippy cup. The spout is made of the same stuff as bottle nipples. It's slit on two sides, and I have yet to see it leak. It also has handles on two sides. Remington was able to figure out how to use it right away. He loves drinking apple juice from it.

13. 6 month toys- I know when I look through the toys or baby aisle I wonder what toys I can start buying for a baby. Almost all the toys seem to start 6 months, there's hardly anything for younger than that. This is mostly due to development. Babies younger than 6 months aren't really going to play with toys anyway, and they don't have the memory to pick up something they dropped. Now that Remington is old enough, I'm excited for toy shopping. I'm sure I'll be eating my words when he's like 6 years old... We haven't really bought him anything yet, we'll leave that to 'Crazy Uncle Kyle', :).  Of the toys we do have, the following are ones Remington enjoys: Fisher Price Amazing Animals Spinnin' Around Musical Zoo. Fisher Price Stack 'n Surprise Blocks Songs 'n Smiles Sillytown. Fisher Price Little Superstar Classical Stacker. Fisher Price Precious Planet Rattle Link Pack.

I think that's everything. Not a lot has changed, other than not needing things we used to. It's so much easier since he's able to sit on his own. Hope this again helps someone.

Are You Ready to be a Mom?

I found this the other day on another blog. It's hilarious and sadly true. I haven't experienced some of these first hand yet, but working with preschoolers and elementary school kids has shown me a glimpse. Personally 2nd and 3rd grade seem to be the worse. I'm not looking forward to Remington being that age.

ARE YOU READY FOR MOTHERHOOD?

Lesson 1:
1. Go to the grocery store.
2. Arrange to have your salary paid directly to their head office.
3. Go home.
4. Pick up the newspaper.
5. Read it for the last time.

Lesson 2:
Before you finally go ahead and have children, find a couple who already are parents and berate them about their.
1. Methods of discipline.
2. Lack of patience.
3. Appallingly low tolerance levels.
4. Allowing their children to run wild.
5. Suggest ways in which they might improve their child's breast feeding, sleep habits, toilet training, table manners, and overall behavior. Enjoy it because it will be the last time in your life you will have all the answers.

Lesson 3:
A really good way to discover how the nights might feel.
1. Get home from work and immediately begin walking around the living room from 5PM to 10PM carrying a wet bag weighing approximately 8-12 pounds, with a radio turned to static (or some other obnoxious sound) playing loudly. (Eat cold food with one hand for dinner)
2. At 10PM, put the bag gently down, set the alarm for midnight, and go to sleep.
3. Get up at 12 and walk around the living room again, with the bag, until 1AM.
4. Set the alarm for 3AM.
5. As you can't get back to sleep, get up at 2AM and make a drink and watch an infomercial.
6. Go to bed at 2:45AM.
7. Get up at 3AM when the alarm goes off.
8. Sing songs quietly in the dark until 4AM.
9. Get up. Make breakfast. Get ready for work and go to work (work hard and be productive)

Repeat steps 1-9 each night. Keep this up for 3-5 years. Look cheerful and together.

Lesson 4:

Can you stand the mess children make? To find out.
1. Smear peanut butter onto the sofa and jam onto the curtains.
2. Hide a piece of raw chicken behind the stereo and leave it there all summer.
3. Stick your fingers in the flower bed.
4. Then rub them on the clean walls.
5. Take your favourite book, photo album, etc. Wreck it.
6. Spill milk on your new pillows. Cover the stains with crayons. How does that look?

Lesson 5:
Dressing small children is not as easy as it seems.
1. Buy an octopus and a small bag made out of loose mesh.
2. Attempt to put the octopus into the bag so that none of the arms hang out.

Time allowed for this - all morning.

Lesson 6:
Forget the BMW and buy a mini-van. And don't think that you can leave it out in the driveway spotless and shining. Family cars don't look like that.
1. Buy a chocolate ice cream cone and put it in the glove compartment. Leave it there.
2. Get a dime. Stick it in the CD player.
3. Take a family size package of chocolate cookies. Mash them into the back seat. Sprinkle cheerios all over the floor, then smash them with your foot.
4. Run a garden rake along both sides of the car.

Lesson 7:
Go to the local grocery store. Take with you the closest thing you can find to a pre-school child. (A full-grown goat is an excellent choice). If you intend to have more than one child, then definitely take more than one goat. Buy your week's groceries without letting the goats out of your sight. Pay for everything the goat eats or destroys.

Until you can easily accomplish this, do not even contemplate having children.

Lesson 8:
1. Hollow out a melon.
2. Make a small hole in the side.
3. Suspend it from the ceiling and swing it from side to side.
4. Now get a bowl of soggy Cheerios and attempt to spoon them into the swaying melon by pretending to be an airplane.
5. Continue until half the Cheerios are gone.
6. Tip half into your lap. The other half, just throw up in the air.

You are now ready to feed a nine- month-old baby.

Lesson 9:
Learn the names of every character from Sesame Street , Barney, Disney, the Teletubbies, and Pokemon. Watch nothing else on TV but PBS, the Disney channel or Noggin for at least five years. (I know, you're thinking What's 'Noggin'?) Exactly the point.

Lesson 10:
Make a recording of Fran Drescher saying 'mommy' repeatedly. (Important: no more than a four second delay between each 'mommy'; occasional crescendo to the level of a supersonic jet is required). Play this tape in your car everywhere you go for the next four years. You are now ready to take a long trip with a toddler.

Lesson 11:
Start talking to an adult of your choice. Have someone else continually tug on your skirt hem, shirt- sleeve, or elbow while playing the 'mommy' tape made from Lesson 10 above. You are now ready to have a conversation with an adult while there is a child in the room.

Hope you enjoyed! Mom's to be - if you find this scary... here's the truth of it. All of the above "challenges" and "annoyances" are wiped out within seconds by any of the following:
(1) One big smile
(2) A giggle
(3) A hug or kiss
(4) An "I love you Mommy"
etc.

6 Months

Remington turned 6 months old Thursday (April 29th). I can't believe it's already been half a year. He just keeps getting cuter and cuter!

Definition of Developmental milestones record - 6 months:

This article describes the skills and growth targets for 6-month-old infants.

Physical and motor skill markers:
  • Able to hold almost all weight when supported in a standing position - He's been doing this really well for a couple weeks now.
  • Able to transfer objects from one hand to the other - Yes, but he usually just holds things with both hands so he can chew on what ever he has.
  • Able to lift chest and head while on stomach, holding the weight on hands (often occurs by 4 months)- He's been doing this since 4 months.
  • Able to pick up a dropped object- Yep
  • Able to roll from back to stomach- Actually no. He still isn't rolling over. I'm going to ask the doctor about it at his appointment on Monday.
  • Able to sit in a high chair with a straight back- Yes, see the pictures I took. He's been able to sit since just shortly after 5 months.
  • Able to sit on the floor with lower back support- He's able to sit for quite a while unsupported.
  • Beginning of teething- Oh yeah, and it sucks. He gets so cranky and it's hard to comfort him.
  • Increased drooling- Yes, and it's gross.
  • Should be able to sleep 6 - 8 hour stretches at night- Thank goodness! He's been seeping through the night since 3 months! It's awesome!
  • Should have doubled birth weight (birth weight often doubles by 4 months, and it would be cause for concern if this hasn't happened by 6 months)- He did by 4months, luckily. We had problems with weight gain earlier. I'm curious to see what he weighs now.

Sensory and cognitive markers:
  • Begins to fear strangers - Not yet, but he sometimes just looks wearily at people. But, other times, he'll smile.
  • Begins to imitate actions- He sometimes imitates sounds. I haven't really noticed actions.
  • Begins to realize that if an object is dropped, it is still there and just needs to be picked up- Yes. I knew to look for this milestone, and he's mostly got it down.
  • Can locate sounds not made directly at the ear level- Yeah, mostly. Sometimes he looks around and then finds it.
  • Enjoys hearing own voice- Probably, he screams enough, lol.
  • Makes sounds (vocalizes) to mirror and toys- Yes.
  • Makes sounds resembling one-syllable words (example: da-da, ba-ba)- Not yet, but he'll get there.
  • Prefers more complex sounds- Hmm, I guess. It's hard to tell.
  • Recognizes parents- Oh yeah. He always smiles when we come in the room if we've been gone.
  • Starts to imitate sounds- A little bit
  • Vision is between 20/60 and 20/40- Who knows, but with m horrible eyesight, he'll probably need glasses eventually.
Play recommendations:
  • Read, sing, and talk to your child- We read and talk to him all the time. Landon occasionally sings silly songs for him.
  • Imitate words such as "mama" to help baby learn language- Not too much, we mostly use adult words.
  • Play peek-a-boo- Once or twice.
  • Provide an unbreakable mirror- Yep.
  • Provide large, bright-colored toys that make noise or have moving parts (avoid toys with small parts)- He has plenty.
  • Provide paper to tear- Haven't done this. Don't really want to start a habit, :)
  • Speak clearly- Yes.
  • Start naming parts of the body and the environment- Sometimes.
  • Use body movements and actions to teach language- I want to start baby signs in a bit.
  • Use the word "no" infrequently- Yep.

5 Months Old

Remington is 5 months old today! I can't believe it's almost been  half a year! There aren't many specific milestones for this month, so here's all I found.

Milestones this month
  • Your baby is able to reach accurately for an object. - He's so good at this, he's getting much better at his hand/eye coordination.

  • He can hold his head steady when sitting upright. - He's been doing this for quite a while now.

  • Baby can raise his chest with arm support while lying on his stomach. - Sure can.

  • He can roll over in one direction. - I've seen him roll over from stomach to back twice.

  • Baby can grasp a rattle. -He really likes playing with rattles and links.

  • He pays attention to very small objects. - I guess so. We haven't really given him very small things.

  • Baby squeals with delight. -Always, and it's super cute.

  • He spontaneously smiles. -It's adorable!

  • Baby mimics sounds and gestures. -Kind of. He will imitate you when you copy the sounds he makes.

  • He turns towards the source of a sound or voice. -Yep, he's very interested in watching people.

  • Baby gets attention by babbling. -That and screaming, ha.

  • He makes different sounds for different needs.- Either that or we can tell his cries apart now.

These pictures are of Remington's first time in grass ever. He wasn't too sure about it.

Rockstar

You know, I've wondered why everyone wants to be a ROCKstar. I mean, when people want to be famous, they talk about being like a rockstar, not a countrystar, popstar, rapstar, or even I wanna live like an actor. Instead, it's always a rockstar. Personally I think that's awesome. I LOVE rock music, so being a rockstar is cool. Now, I realize that living like a rockstar would be, well, dangerous at times, but it seems cool when you're young and don't care.

Anyway, if you've been following for a while, or know us personally, you've seen that we dress Remington in Rockstar clothes. Why, you ask? Well, because it's awesome! No, it's better than the other options. As far as baby boy clothes go, there's about 4 options: sports, animals, cars/transportation, and rockstar. Landon hates sports, so that's out. We do dress him in some animal clothing, but I'm not a fan of the real cutiesy stuff for boys. Cars/transportation are cool as long as it's motorcycles (gotta be like daddy), but Landon is very picky about motorcycles clothes. He hates Harleys, so the motorcycle can't look like one. And overall, rockstar is just so much better. Besides, that's the kind of music we like. After all, Remington's first concert (in utero- ha, that's a Nirvana album) was Cruefest 2 with Motley Crue, Theory of a Deadman, and Godsmack. I can't wait to take him to his first real concert. I don't really expect him to grow up to be a real rockstar, but to have a love of music...that's all I ask--as long as it's not country (that sort of stuff won't be allowed in this house).

That was Solid, dude!

We tried solid food with Remington for the first time today! We've added a bit of rice cereal to his bottles since he just turned 4 months, but today we tried rice cereal by itself. Here are the pictures of the incident.

He doesn't know what he's in for. Oh, and look, he's clean, that won't last long.

His very first bite.

What's this spoon thing doing in my mouth?

He likes it. It took a bit to learn how to use his tongue to keep the food in. (Photo edit with some PW actions)

What mom? You always have to have the camera around. (Photo edit with PW actions)

He started getting mad. The bottle is much easier.

He's really getting messy now.

I can do it myself, dad.

What a mess. :)
Someone needs a bath now.

He's had enough.

Adventures in Baby Vaccination

 03/20/10
Yesterday, we took Remington in for his 4 month shots. This post notes my thoughts on vaccinations.

Anyway, I didn't know how Remington would react to this round of shots since he's older. The first time, at 2 months, he cried a little bit, but calmed right down with a pacifier. This time, however, I came prepared. We gave him a little bit of Tylenol 30 minutes before hand, and brought his bottle. He took the rotavirus slowly. It's an oral vaccine and you could tell it tasted bad. Then came the shots. I gave him the bottle, partly to wash down the rotavirus stuff and to help soothe him for the shots. He cried a little for the first one, but quickly calmed with the bottle. Then, the second shot came. The nurse warned me that it would hurt him worse than the first. He was stuck with the needle and cried for quite awhile. I tried to get him to suck on the bottle, or recognize that it was in his mouth, but he was not having it. He finally took it and calmed down. By the time we left the exam room, he was smiling again.

Warning: Part of the following may come off as snobby, but please read on.

I wish we were able to get these shots at our regular doctor, but for some reason, we have to go to the county health clinic. This is not a place I want to take my baby to. I'm sorry if I sound rude, but the quality of people who frequent that place are not the kind I want around my son. Sitting in the the waiting room bugs me. A waiting room at any doctor office is probably full of all kinds of nasty germs, but a health clinic just seems worse. Also, the posters in the exam room are irritating. I'm sorry, but I don't need to know (by a posting on the wall) that I can only have a 3 month supply of birth control pills. I also don't need to hear about how a real man steps up and accepts that the kid is his (another poster). I feel like the nurses and staff assume things about us if we take our baby to the county health clinic. They probably think we're some high school aged punk kids, who got knocked up with a baby, still live with our parents, and don't have jobs or insurance. But, then maybe I'm also assuming that those kind of people are the only ones who go to the health clinic, when obviously that is not the case. I know, I'm being a bit hypocritical here, but this is just how I feel about it.

Landon and I have worked hard to get to where we are, and I truthfully feel like a county health clinic is beneath us. We are in our mid-twenties, well educated (I have my masters degree), have good jobs, insurance, were married two years before having a child, and try to do a good job raising him.

What made this trip to the clinic worse was the trouble we're having with Landon's insurance. It has taken forever for us to get Remington enrolled. They haven't paid for any doctor visits, vaccines, or even the hospital stay when he was born. We're having to pay for most of these doctor bills out of pocket, which is super difficult. My insurance is good, but it costs more to have Remington on my insurance rather than Landon's. So, because of this mess, the health clinic looks at us like we don't have insurance and are trying to get out of paying the bills some how.

I truly don't know how people pay hospital bills without insurance. I have some friends who are in this situation, and if you're reading this, how do you do it? How are you able to pay hospital bills or well baby checks? I guess this is why there's such a big deal being made about the health care crisis and system.

We're starting to get the insurance mess worked out, and in the mean time are having to deal with a very unhappy baby. Remington ran a mild fever for part of the day yesterday, and he was very sleepy and irritated for the entire day after the shots (which were at 9am). He's done a bit better today, but he's still sleepy and acts like he doesn't feel well. It literally breaks your heart to hear his sad cry. I have trouble holding back tears when he cries like that (and I don't ever cry). So, heres hoping to a better day today.

Random Thoughts and Babies

3/12/10

Although I've been posting once a week (for You Capture themes), I feel as though I've been neglecting this blog. This started as a way to share information and pictures of Remington, but I've kind of fallen away from the information part. It's not an excuse, but going back to work has made me extremely busy. And I don't know what to blog about. So here I am blogging about my lack of blogging. (eh, what else could I do? Talk about my adorable son... okay, fine.)

Remington (and Landon and I) have gotten over being sick. However, I'm pretty sure he's teething now. I know it seems way to early, but all the signs are there. He's chewing on everything, drooling a lot, and is fussy even after his other needs have been met. The last two days have been better, though, so we'll see how it goes.

This coming week is Spring Break! I'm so excited for some time off to spend with my boys. We don't have any plans, other than just relaxing.

When Remington was younger (yes, I know he's still young and only 4 months old, but hear me out), I wondered what life would be like once he started staying away for longer periods of time. Would I never have time to myself if he didn't take naps and sleep so much? Would I constantly have to keep him entertained while he's awake? How would I do that? Would I have to watch him so that he didn't hurt himself somehow?   Now, that he's awake more (only 2 short hour long naps a day usually), I shouldn't have worried so much. When he's awake and happy, I want to play with him and keep him entertained. He's so adorable and cute when he's happy and content. His smiles just melt you, and his baby giggles are the most precious sounds in the world! I can't wait until he's awake even more so that we can interact with him. Is it like this for all new moms?

There is a baby boom going on around here. I seriously know at least 32 people who are pregnant or who recently had a baby (some of them are close friends, other are just classmates). I think it's because we are all at the age for getting married and having babies (20 somethings), but it still seems unreal that so many people are pregnant or have recently had a baby in the last 5 months (either just before Remington was born, or shortly after). It also maybe due to me being more aware of pregnancies since I have a baby now. Of my close friends, Landon and I were the last ones to get married, so I assumed we'd be the last to have kids. This is not the case now, however. I do wish that we had a close friend with a baby around Remington's age for him to grow up with. It's not happening so far. I also hope that he ends up having cousins that are close enough to play with (It could happen with my brother and his wife--- but, if you guys are reading this it doesn't mean go off and have a kid--- wait a few years and enjoy your time as newlyweds right now).

Milestone alert: Remington has rolled over! Once. Last Saturday (March 13th), I was at my parent's house when he rolled from his stomach to his back by himself for the first time! It was pretty cool,  I just want to see him do it again.

4 Months

03/01/10

Remington is now 4 months old! I can't believe how much he's grown and changed since he was born. On Wednesday, I took him for his 4 month doctor appointment. He weighs 13 pounds 6 ounces ( 25th %ile), and is 24.5 inches long (50th %ile). His head circumference is 16 inches (10th %ile).

While we were at the doctor, I also asked about Remington being sick the last 3 days. I know that some stuff has been going around. He's been coughing and wheezing a lot. The first night, we decided to put him in his seat and keep him next to our bed to keep and eye on him and his breathing. That did not work, neither of us got any sleep with him breathing so loud and being worried about him. He's also been really congested and has a runny nose. After going to the doctor, we let him sleep in the crib with the mattress slightly elevated with a pillow between the mattress and springs. The doctor said that he probably has RSV, or Respiratory Syncytial Virus. Most babies get it at least once before the age of 2. She said she could run a test to know for sure, but according to her professional opinion, he has it. Unfortunately, there's not much you can do about it, but let it run its course. By now (Monday), he's pretty much over it. However, he has given it to Landon and I. We've both been sick for the last couple days.

A year ago today, we found out I was pregnant, what a year!

Here's what he's supposed to be doing at 4 months (from MedlinePlus):

PHYSICAL AND MOTOR SKILLS
The typical 4-month-old baby should:
  • Show a slowing of weight gain to approximately 20 grams per day- He's still a little small, but gaining.
  • Double the birth weight- Almost, he should be 14 pounds to be double. But, he's pretty good for having lost so much at first and having so much trouble with the weight gain.
  • Have almost no head lag while in a sitting position- He's very good at this now.
  • Be able to sit up straight if propped- Yep, he falls over fast though.
  • Raise head 90 degrees when placed on stomach- Pretty close, he still hates tummy time.
  • Be able to roll from front to back- Not yet, hopefully he will soon.
  • Try to reach objects with hands (may commonly overshoot)- A little bit. He likes to reach for and hit the sack of wipes by his changing table and he'll hit the buttons on his excersaucer.
  • Hold and let go of an object- Yep
  • Play with rattle when it's placed in the hands, but won't be able to pick it up if dropped- Yep, he'll hold one for quite a while now.
  • Be able to grasp rattle with both hands- Yep
  • Be able to place objects in mouth- A little bit, he tries to put the pacifier back in if he took it out and still has it in his hands.
  • Sleep 9 to 10 hours at night with two naps (total of 14 - 16 hours per day)- Yes, yippee!

SENSORY AND COGNITIVE SKILLS
A 4-month-old baby is expected to:
  • Have well-established close vision- Seems to.
  • Increase eye contact with parents and others- Yes, he really likes to watch people and smile.
  • Have beginning hand-eye coordination- He likes to watch his hands and feet sometimes.
  • Be able to babble and coo- He's been doing this for about a month.
  • Be able to laugh out loud- Yes, and it's adorable!
  • Anticipate feeding when able to see a bottle (if bottle-fed)- Yep, if he sees it, he watches it pretty intently.
  • Begin to show memory- Kinda, it's hard to tell at this point.
  • Demand attention by fussing- All the time.
  • Recognize parent voice or touch- Yeah. There are certain things that Landon does to make him laugh, that I'll try and he just looks at me. And I can put him to sleep and comfort him way faster than Landon.
    PLAY
You can encourage development through play:
    • Place the baby in front of a mirror- He likes to smile and watch himself or look at us when we're holding him.
    • Provide bright-colored toys to hold- I almost think the excersauser is too over stimulating.
    • Repeat sounds the infant makes- We've been doing this from the beginning.
    • Help the infant roll over- We try this sometimes, need to do more to help him learn to roll over.
    • Use a swing or stroller- Since day one.
    • Play on the stomach (tummy time)- He still hates it.
Remington is still eating just formula, we'll start some rice cereal soon. He sleeps well and laughs and smiles all the time. He does this adorable shy smile, where he smiles and then turns away to hide his face like he's shy. His eyes are still gray and he's getting more hair. He's grown out of most of his newborn clothes and is starting to wear some 3-6 clothes.
